Killer whales are one of the most familiar forms of marine life, but in the wild they are becoming increasingly rare. For more than four decades, a team of researchers has been studying three killer whale pods in the Pacific Northwest. The data collected have provided an inside view of the family structures, behavior and longevity of endangered whales. Michelle Miller has more.
