NEW YORK – Patti LuPone is back on Broadway.
At Tuesday’s “Company” show, the two-time Tony Award winner received the love of the audience, who stopped the show twice to applaud the Broadway icon.
LuPone says she is happy to be back on stage after a fight with COVID last month.
“I’m still foggy with COVID, and it was scary to go back on stage and wonder what would happen,” LuPone said. “I felt really good. It’s where I belong. So I felt good to be back.”
“Company” is now performed at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater.
