MLB players vote to end lockout and salvage season

The union representing Major League Baseball players has voted to accept an interim deal with the league, the union confirmed to CBS News on Thursday. The deal, which has yet to be ratified, comes after weeks of stagnation in delayed matches and threatened to be halted next season.

Just a day before the deal was announced, Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred said another list of games it had been canceled due to ongoing conversations, which would have returned the opening day to April 14th.

This is a developing story. It will be updated.
