Tom Brady says he’s returning to the NFL after announcing retirement: “My place is still on the field”

Tom Brady announced Sunday that he will return to professional football, less than two months after announcing he would retire from the NFL after 22 seasons.

“For the past two months I’ve noticed that my place is still in the field and not in the stands,” Brady tweeted. “That moment will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates and I love my family who support me. They do their best. I’m back for my 23rd season in Tampa.”

These two months I have realized that my place is still in the field and not in the stands. That moment will come. But not now. I love my classmates and I love my family who support me. They make everything possible. I’m back for my 23rd season in Tampa. Unfinished business LFG pic.twitter.com/U0yhRKVKVm
