The shadow foreign secretary asked for an assurance that refugees would not “go on Instagram and promote themselves” in the hope that British families would notice them.
She said Michael Gove played a role in bringing families and UK sponsors together, and not just to get credit for a “DIY asylum scheme”.
Ms Nandy claimed the Homes for Ukraine program meant applicants had to fill out a 50-page online form and provide documents they did not have.
