UK job vacancies fell for the eighth straight month as companies cite economic pressures to hold back on hiring.
The data comes a day ahead of Wednesday’s budget, when the chancellor is expected to unveil plans to encourage people back to work.
The number of jobs offered fell by 51,000 between December and February, the latest figures show.
But the total number of vacancies remains at a record 1.1 million.
