More Amazon workers to vote on whether to strike over pay.
GMB union members in Rugeley, Staffordshire and Mansfield, Nottinghamshire will vote in the next few weeks.
It comes after several days of industrial action in Coventry which unions say had a “domino effect”.
Amazon said it regularly reviews pay to ensure competitive wages and recently announced a further increase for UK teams.
The GMB is not recognized in the UK by the US company, but workers have since applied for union recognition after the union says it has reached the membership threshold for mandatory recognition.
This could be Amazon’s first union recognition in Europe.
Members are demanding a pay rise from £10.50 to £15 an hour.
A spokesman for Amazon said: “In the last seven months, our minimum wage has increased by 10% and by more than 37% since 2018.
“We also work hard to provide great benefits, a positive work environment and excellent career opportunities.”
The Rugeley and Mansfield elections run until June 9th.
Amanda Gearing, GMB chief organiser, said: “This escalation will see workers at two more fulfillment centers being asked to have their say when it comes to shutting down tools and going out to ensure pay equity.
“We’ve already seen tremendous enthusiasm from workers in Mansfield and Rugeley to take action, now it’s up to them how their union takes the campaign forward.”
