Paddy Pimblett was in typical ebullient form just three days after his UFC London clash with Kazula Vargas.

‘The Baddy’ pledged to blow the roof off of the O2 Arena, even after Storm Eunice hit him on the punch, reflecting on how far he had come.

Pimblett will turn his famous Cage Walk into a more mature and experienced man than the 21-year-old who sensationally claimed the Cage Warriors title.

‘The Baddy’ was involved in a hotel dispute with Ilia Topuria, who also fights on the map

His blue KO at his UFC debut announced his arrival on the big show last year, but the 27-year-old is a product of his experiences and recognizes that they have shaped him into a more balanced athlete.

He said: “I think back to those difficult moments, some people who just watched the UFC think I’m a striker.

“I’ve been fighting for 16, celebrating and winning the Cage Warriors title since I was 21.

‘Looking back, it’s a good job I lost to Soren Bach, I had real problems with mental health issues and depression. I had to realize what I had.

“When I was 21, I acted like Billy Big Bo *****, thinking I was better than I was, capturing people, how I could get people into clubs and things.

Pimblett was full of confidence on Wednesday afternoon

“Now I keep my circle small, my fitness family and my family close. I thought I was one, King of the world, you lose it and realize who the real ones are.”

He also talked about how much easier it is to fight with light weight after experiencing horrible weight loss before.

Pimblett added: ‘I killed myself to make 145, the night before I cut 19 pounds, I was sick in a cage. I was physically pulled in and out of a sauna.

If a doctor had looked at a scan, he would not have let me go. I had reached the testosterone of a two year old boy, almost acute kidney failure.

‘I’m not killing myself anymore. Do not lie, after this fight I will grow fat. ‘

One Wednesday night, Pimblett was involved in a brief altercation with Ilia Topuria at the fighter hotel and Georgian, who fights Jai Herbert on Saturday, shared the photo online.

Pimblett is preparing for his highly anticipated second fight in the UFC on Saturday

Pimblett spoke about the incident and marked Topuira ‘Mr Hand Sanitiser’ after he threw a container of it on his head.

“I was standing alone and there were six of them, he was standing on the other side of the table because he knows what’s good for them.

“As soon as he came out of the double doors he screamed at me. I did not hit him because I did not break my hand. I blew a hand sanitizer off his head.

‘I can not begin to beat one so senseless. He is no ‘Mr. Hand Sanitiser.’

Pimblett’s star has risen and he could be a force at the top of the lightweight division

There will never be a dull moment with Pimblett but he insisted he was not distracted from the task. The Liverpool fan favorite put it bluntly: “I’m the boy, I put bums on seats, people want to watch TV when I’m down.

‘I’m not trying to act like someone else, what you see is what you get. If you do not like it, read it.

‘I’ve always said I want to be the best there is, the best that there is, the best that there is. ‘I will take another step forward on Saturday evening by inserting Vargas’ skull.’
