Supermodel Bella Hadid said she regretted having a nose job when she was 14 and talked about her struggles with mental health issues in a friendly new interview.
The star confirmed that she had the operation as a teenager US Vogueafter years of speculation about their appearance.
Hadid also discussed how it was like growing up to be known as “the ugly sister” compared to older siblings Gigi Hadidand e Supermodel.
Speaking about her nose job, the model, now 25, told the fashion magazine that she wished she had not done the procedure, and refused to have any other cosmetic work.
“I wish I had kept the nose of my ancestors,” she said. “I think I grew up there.”
Hadid’s comments led to the interview going viral online, with many questions about how the star was able to undergo the operation at such a young age.
Addressing rumors about other work and how photos of herself as a young girl are often compared online with later pictures, the model said, “I’m pretty sure you do not look the same now as you did with 13, right?
“I’ve never used a filler before. Let’s just stop it. I have no problem with it, but it’s not for me. Whoever thinks I’ve got my eyes raised or whatever it is – it’s Face Tape! The oldest trick! and the book. “
Hadid said she was suffering from an “imposter syndrome” and added: “People always have something to say, but what I have to say is, I have always been misunderstood in my industry and by the people around me. “
‘I was the old sister’
Later in the interview, she said, “When you are forced to be perfect every day, in every image, you begin to look at yourself and must see perfection at all times, and that is just not possible.”
Talking about comparisons with her 26-year-old sister, Hadid said, “I was the ugly sister. I was the brunette. I was not as cool as Gigi, not so outgoing.
“That’s really what people have said about me. And unfortunately, when you get things said so often, you just believe it.”
She said she often wondered how “a girl with incredible insecurity, anxiety, depression, body image problems, eating problems, who hates being touched, who has intense social anxiety – what have I done in this business?”
Hadid said she “became a good actress” and “always felt like I had something to prove”.
‘For so long I did not know what I was crying about’
Hadid said she is now making a conscious effort to protect her mental health after years of believing she “did not have the right to complain” or have any therapy because of her privileged upbringing and celebrity lifestyle.

“For so long I did not know about what I was crying about,” she said. “I always felt so happy, and that would put me even more down on myself.
“There were people online who said, ‘You live this amazing life.’ So how can I complain?
“I always felt that I did not have the right to complain, which means I did not have the right to get help, that was my first problem.”
