TransPennine Express loses contract over poor service

TransPennine Express has lost its contract to operate its service due to customer complaints of poor service and canceled trains.

The Government has announced it will now operate rail services covering the north of England and parts of Scotland.

There have been calls to cancel the contract after poor service quality over the past year.

Around every sixth service was canceled in March.

This was the highest rate in the UK.
