Elden Ring update 1.03 Patch notes nerf the best Ash summon

Mimic Tear Ash now does less damage, while Sword of Night and Flame also received a balance pass.

Elden Ring is the hottest game right now, and to keep up the good times, FromSoftware has released update 1.03 along with some juicy patch notes. If you have spent some time in this game of the year competing, you will want to see how bugs were fixed, how items were buffed, and how equipment got a little nervous. Elden Ring v1.03 Patch Notes

These Elden Ring Patch Notes are powered by Bandai Namco. Players may find that they have a new update for the next time they launch the game. Make sure your game is running the correct version by looking in the lower right corner of the screen in the main menu. Let’s take a look at the v1.03 patch notes.

Additional elements added

  • A feature is added to add an icon and the name of an NPC to the map when you encounter that NPC.
  • NPC Jar-Bairn added.
  • New quest phases added for the following NPCs: Diallos / Nepheli Loux / Kenneth Haight / Gatekeeper Gostoc.
  • Add some summonable NPCs in different situations.
  • Increased the number of patterns of object players can imitate when Mimic uses the veil.
  • Add night background music to some open field area.

Bug Fixed

  • Fixed a bug that prevented NPCs from getting damaged in some boss battles.
  • Fixed a bug that would have prevented the player from getting the item after the boss battle.
  • Fixed a bug that skipped the dialog when talking to NPCs and using custom key configurations.
  • Fixed an error that the player asks while riding.
  • Fixed a bug that miscalculated the arcane for some weapons.
  • In situations where the player can not get more than 2 Talisman bags, add Talisman Pouch to Twin Maiden Husks shop line up.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the user from crossing out of the map at the end of the game.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the player from moving to the next region after the battle with the Fire Giant.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some weapons to have incorrect scaling after reinforcement.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some weapons to use no state scaling.
  • Fixed hang-ups on certain occasions.
  • Fixed an issue that incorrectly displayed the multiplayer area limit when playing online.
  • Fixed a bug that would allow the player to activate the Groundhield Greatshield’s weapon without absorbing an attack with a special combination of element and incantation.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Fire’s Deadly Sin Incantation to have a different effect.
  • Fixed a bug with Ash of War, Determination and Royal Knight’s Resolve, where the damage buff would also apply to other weapons without this ability.
  • Adjusts the visual effect of Unseen form spells.
  • The ragged armor set was removed from the game, which was incorrectly available in previous patches.
  • Fixed a bug that caused some hostile NPCs to drop Furlcalling Finger Remedy.
  • Fixed a bug that played a wrong sound effect in some situations.
  • Fixed a bug that caused visual animation in hitboxes to show incorrectly on some maps.
  • Fix bugs that caused visual and behavior errors for some enemies.
  • An error fixes the wrong state parameter for some armor.
  • Fix text.
  • Other performance improvements and bug fixes.

Equilibrium changes

  • Raise the drop rate of Smithing Stone for some enemies.
  • Adding Smithing Stone to some early game shop line.
  • Increases the efficiency of the shield.
  • Increased damage to all offensive cracked pot items.
  • Increases damage to the following items: Spark Aromatic / Poison Spraymist.
  • Increases the effect duration for the following elements: Uplifting Aromatic / Ironjar Aromatic.
  • Increase HP Healing for Torrent by using the following items: Rowa Raisin / Sweet Raisin / Frozen Raisin
  • Reduces FP consumption and increases damage by the following wizards: Glintstone Cometshard / Comet / Night Comet
  • Increases the damage of the following wizards: Gravity Well / Collapsing Stars / Crystal Barrage
  • Reduces FP consumption by the following wizards: Star Shower / Rock Blaster / Gavel of Haima / Founding Rain of Stars / Stars of Ruin / Greatblade Phalanx / Magic Downpour / Loretta’s Greatbow / Loretta’s Mastery / Carian Greatsword / Carian Piercer / Shard Spiral
  • Increase projectile velocity and range of Great Glintstone Shard
  • Reduces Ash of War, Hoarfrost Stomp damage and Increases casting time.
  • Increases Ash of War, Bloody Slash’s self-inflicted damage while damage decreases slightly and occupancy increases.
  • Reduced weaponry, night swords and flame damage.
  • More FP consumption and less duration of Ash of War, Barricade Shield.
  • Changed FP consumption timing of Ash of War, Prelate’s Charge.
  • Reduce the damage inflicted on the mind if you use the item Mimic Tear Ash and change the behavior pattern of the mind.
  • Other enemy and weapon balance changes

As you can see, there are a whole bunch of great additions to the Elden Ring with update 1.03. The fact that NPCs are now marked on the map will be a massive boon for those who struggle to remember where everyone lies. Also, having more summonable NPCs for battles is great. Unfortunately, with the good news comes the bad news. The most powerful Ash in the game (second only to Aurelia the Jellyfish), the Mimic Tear, is annoying.
