Boris Johnson’s actions as foreign minister extend Nazanin Zaghari – Ratcliffe’s order in Iran, Keir Starmer said.
In 2017, the now prime minister wrongly said that Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe “simply taught the people journalism” while visiting the Middle East country.
Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian national, was actually visiting the family during the holidays.
Labor leader Starmer said: “The first thing I say is that I, like everyone else, it’s fantastic to see Nazanin, Richard and their family reunited – just a very human emotion, I think, is in the last few cast.hours when we saw the pictures.
“I’m sorry to say that the Prime Minister’s actions have taken this to take longer than it could have been done otherwise and of course there are questions about that.”
Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe arrived in the UK on Wednesday for an emotional greeting from her family following her six-year-old organ in Iran.
She cared for her daughter Gabriella and kissed her after landing on British soil.

Man ‘probably right’ to go public with campaign – MP
Labor Tulip Siddiq said that when Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe was first arrested in 2016, Mr Ratcliffe was advised by the State Department to remain calm.
“He said after he had no news of Nazanin because she was initially in the solitary confinement, he felt he had no choice but to go public,” the family member said.
“Some people might not agree with that and the State Department has told us many times, ‘We would have taken out the Nazanine earlier if you had not done so and sang and danced about it,'” but Richard did not agree.
“Over the years, I think I came to think of Richard and think he was probably right.”
