£ 34m exit ‘does not scare’ 12 goal Tottenham goal

Gianluca Scamacca has told the Corriere dello Sport that a transfer abroad “does not scare him” and the interest of “big clubs” is flat, with Tottenham a deal for Sassuolo Ace.

The Italian has put his name on shortlists around Europe after being blown away last summer on his return to Mapei Stadium. Scamacca loaned out Genoa last season and began building a productive record ahead of the net at the end of the 2020/21 term.

He has scored six goals over the last eight Serie A appearances of the 23-year-old Grifone. And Scamacca is back at Luigi Ferraris Stadium with Sassuolo in October to beat his first of the current terms. The duel international has since come to 12 and 27 games.

As for Genoa, once Scamacca found some consistency at Sassuolo and a starting role on the side of Alessio Dionisi, there was no looking back. Of his Serie A goals this term so far, 10 have come in his last 15 games. He also shot against AC Milan, Inter and Naples.

Inter, Milan and Juventus now hope to praise Scamacca from Dionisi’s clutches at the end of the season. Gazzetta dello Sport notes that Serie A big hitters, plus Tottenham, are pursuing Scamacca’s Sassuolo efforts. But Neroverdi estimates him at € 40m (£ 34m), per tuttosport.

Neither side proved willing to pay the Neroverdi asking price in January, while Juventus signed Fiorentina’s Dusan Vlahovic. But Dean Jones claims that Tottenham have ‘definitely’ explored the Sassuolo striker and they could look to sign Scamacca if Antonio Conte asks for his transfer.

The move to England would not be a topic for the Roman-born talent, who previously played in the Netherlands for the PSV Eindhoven Academy before returning with Pec Zwolle.

He also finds speculative interest from clubs such as Inter Milan and Juventus flat. But Scamacca let his heart dictate every transfer of Sassuolo to the summer market.

“I do not think so,” Scamacca explained. “I never set boundaries. If there is a decision, I will follow my heart. I went abroad once and I am not afraid to make that choice again.

“The voices of interest from big clubs are happy, they are a stimulus. But I do not pursue the transfer market too much, some situations do not materialize quickly.
