South African rider Brad Binder admitted that conditions on the Mandalika circuit were different from normal, with a lot of heat for the riders and a lot of dirt on the track.<\/p>\n

For KTM riders, the biggest problem really is the heat:<\/p>\n

– The biggest problem here is that the track “melts”. It’s so hot. I believe it was over 60 degrees on the track and that is not often seen. There is also not much grip to start with and then when you get off the line, there is dirt. I took over one or two riders who were both very limited because one really has to pass close to the other rider. If you go a little closer inside, you can get on the dirt road, and it’s easy to get a blockage in front of the bike. It will be a hard race, it will be important to be intelligent in your movements, because it will be easy to make a mistake, and it will not be just you who crashes at the end of the day.<\/p>\n

Regarding the perfect line for the best way to run the track, the rider has an opinion:<\/p>\n

– It seems that the ideal line is too small. I think it helps to have the categories Moto2 and Moto3 here, because they cross these lines a little more. It’s getting a little wider, but I was shocked this morning at how dirty the track was. I thought it was at a higher level compared to what it was. For the first five or six laps, I just focused on a small line, when I went out too much, the track was innocent, so it was hard to say, but the track gets better. Over the weekend the track gets cleaner and cleaner, and the extra rubber we put on it helps the grip.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
