Brisbane roar coach Warren Moon insists he will not be carried away despite his team being produced after a 4-1 defeat by Perth Glory.<\/p>\n

A tension for Argentine Juan Lescano and late goals for James O’Shea and Luke Ivanovic on Saturday night secured a second straight victory for Roar and kept their final hopes alive.<\/p>\n

Brisbane’s first away win of the season means the Moon men are now just six points from sixth place and with players in hand over most of their rivals.<\/p>\n

Roar host leader Melbourne City in second place Western United next week and what a big test of their final signing information will be.<\/p>\n

“We are not being executed,” Moon said.<\/p>\n

“It’s possibly important for us not to look at the table and get too far ahead of ourselves.<\/p>\n

“There is still a lot to improve for us, and if we are serious about making a charge or running to the finals, we need to get better.<\/p>\n

“Tonight was great it was a great result and we can build on that. But there are still a lot of areas where we can improve. The concentration is great.”<\/p>\n

The heavy loss left Glory stuck at the end of the ladder after a grueling seven-game winless streak.<\/p>\n

In addition to Glory’s well-being, there was a straight red card for Mitchell Oxborrow to replace a dangerous tackle in the final game of the match.<\/p>\n

Glory’s last win came on February 20 when they beat Roar 2-0, and they have now posted three losses and a draw of four games since returning to Perth.<\/p>\n

“Mate that was hard to take, very hard to take,” Glory coach Richard Garcia said after the loss.<\/p>\n

“We just missed that advantage in the last third, we missed that killer instinct, we lacked that mentality to go and score.<\/p>\n

“The more it goes on … there’s a bit of fear around the box.<\/p>\n

“That’s a little disappointing for me because we continue to encourage them to take their chances.”<\/p>\n

Lescano opened the scoring with a brilliant header in the 40th minute.<\/p>\n

Glory debutant Joshua Anasmo was introduced to the team in the 63rd minute and immediately gave the team a much-needed kick.<\/p>\n

But it was game over when Glory defender Darryl Lachman dropped Jez Lofthouse in the box and O’Shea buried the penalty.<\/p>\n
