Something weird is going on with Fortnite Chapter 3, Season 2. It’s literally the day before it’s supposed to come out, and there were no Epic teasers, not even a start time. Very few current leaks that seem legitimate, if at all.<\/p>\n

It’s a very strange situation, but I wanted to go through some of the most common theories about what can happen, and what could happen.<\/p>\n

The Silent<\/strong> – A major theory is that the “theme” of season 2 is a war waged against the Seven. And because of the very real, very terrible war that is going on in Ukraine right now, Fortnite does not really want to announce that kind of themed season in advance. They can not delay et<\/em> therefore, but they can withdraw their advertising from what we normally see, so no teaser, so maybe a quieter start tomorrow. But since the war in Ukraine is likely to last a long time, it is unclear which way to take from here in relation to the season as a whole. But this makes the most sense in terms of why the season is neither announced nor delayed, as delays really only come when Epic needs more current time to work on things.<\/p>\n

Doctor Strange<\/strong> – Simply the most common theory about a famous face coming to the battlefield is Dr. Strange, who got up with the release of his Multiverse of Madness movie later this spring. Doctor Strange is one of the few Marvel characters who has yet to get his own Fortnite skin, now that Spider-Man has arrived, and it’s clear he could also come up with another missing hero, Scarlet Witch, her role in his Film.<\/p>\n

The Batman<\/strong> – Fortnite has had a long relationship with Batman and DC as well as Marvel, and I’ve heard some discussion about the game that will get Robert Pattinson’s version of the hero in the game someday as skin.<\/p>\n

Star Wars<\/strong> – Donald Mustard has been spotted with various Star Wars elements that have been circulating lately that are not usually random clues. Fortnite has done some Star Wars crossovers in the past, and as recently as last season, they made The Book of Boba Fat. Now, Obi-Wan Kenobi is coming to Disney Plus soon, and I imagine we could get both a skin for him, as well as our first Darth Vader skin, because I know this is probably something Fortnite and his IP Metaverse wants to add. <\/p>\n

An earthquake<\/strong> – Again, we have no indication that a live event is coming, but between IO drilling and sinkholes across the map, a major “reshaping” opportunity seems as if there could be a major earthquake to destabilize the map and create new POIs . Given that the map has already seen volcanic eruptions, meteor strikes and giant monster \/ robot fighters, probably one of the more pretty ways the map can be damaged at this point.<\/p>\n

Everything else I see outside is more or less meme-ing about who comes into the game or what’s going on. For now, Fortnite launches Season 2 in silence tomorrow, unless we get a last minute notice of a delay or reveal later today. <\/p>\n
