Calum Scott goes to a huge hometown show.<\/p>\n

The Hull-born singer and finalist of Britain’s Got Talent will be performing at the Bonus Arena on Saturday, October 8th. Tickets for this very sedentary show go on sale this Friday at 10am in the Bonus Arena or via Ticketmaster. <\/p>\n

After rising to fame in the 2015 season of Britain’s Got Talent, the Hull musician’s version of Robyn’s “Dancing on My Own” helped him shoot to stardom. Born and raised in the city of Hull, Calum and his sister Jade, herself a talented singer, thrilled locals and bars and clubs. In 2013, Jade introduced him to the Hull Daily Mail’s Star Search contest, which he won.<\/p>\n

In 2015, both Calum and his sister auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent, but Jade was eliminated at the audition stage. Calum auditioned for a ripped, piano-led cover of Robyn’s hit “Dancing on My Own,” impressing judge Simon Cowell, who sent him straight to the semifinals.<\/p>\n

Calum became a fan favorite, but was eliminated and despite the fact that he did not win, he developed enough following to quit his job as a recruitment consultant at Hull City Council and pursue a career as a live act. In March 2016, Scott released his version of “Dancing On My Own” as his debut solo single.<\/p>\n

It was used in an episode of the popular television drama The Vampire Diaries, and went on to sell over 600,000 copies. Later in May, he announced that he had signed to Capitol Records, and in 2018, he released his debut album, Only Human. The album reached number 4 in the UK. Calum’s show in the Bonus Arena is very seated.<\/p>\n

Under 14s can participate as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.<\/p>\n
