The task for Toronto this weekend is immense: back-to-back games against a Chicago team that has collected more points than any other team in the AHL and is second in points percentage.<\/h3>\n

With this 4-2 victory, the Wolves have not lost a game in regulation since February 15 and have the stingiest defense in the American League.<\/p>\n

First period<\/h3>\n

The Marlies could not have started better. On a no-play – a dump in which Alex Steeves accidentally fell far to the left – resulted in a bad corner kick that produced a big rebound in the slot, which Semyon Der-Arguchintsev completed with just 32 seconds on the spot . Auer.<\/p>\n

– Narratives in hockey are fascinating to me. Greg Moore highlighted the number of penalties for his team (six) for this defeat against a top power play unit (ranked 13th in the AHL). Toronto took five penalties in the last game against Hershey (just 1% worse than Chicago on the PP). The Marlies won 3-0, so no penalties mentioned. This season, Toronto is the center of the pack and both times shorthanded “and penalty kills.<\/p>\n

– Michael Hutchinson<\/strong> was excellent between the pipes and put Toronto in this game during as one-sided second period as I can remember this season. His 18 saves in midfield tied a season-high for saves in the second period for a Marlies Netminder.<\/p>\n

– A few primary assists for Alex Steeves<\/strong>who was offensively rewarded for his efforts.
Somehow he was not written with a single shot on goal, and this is only the second time this season for the rookie.<\/p>\n

– Filip Kr\u00e1l<\/strong> return to action after time lost due to illness. I thought he was putting a top-notch performance against high-end opposition.<\/span><\/p>\n

– We’ll know more about Joseph Woll<\/strong>the prognosis (shoulder injury) on a Sunday or Monday. In the meantime, Keith Petruzzelli<\/strong> was recalled by Newfoundland.<\/p>\n
