The desperate search for a missing 20-year-old man has stalled for more than three months in a tragedy after he mysteriously disappeared without a trace. <\/p>\n

Logan Losurdo, a former vice-captain of Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College, has been missing since November 26 off the NSW Central Coast.<\/p>\n

His body was found 11 days ago, but investigators were unable to identify the remains until Monday due to the decay condition. <\/p>\n

“Shortly after 11am on Thursday, March 10, police were called to Soldiers Beach on Norah Head after reports that human remains were on the shoreline,” a police spokesman told the Daily Mail Australia. <\/p>\n

Police have since confirmed that the remains are those of a 20-year-old man who was last seen in November 2021 in the Magenta region on the central coast.<\/p>\n

‘A report will be prepared for the coroner’s information.’ <\/p>\n

Help find Logan Losurdo Facebook page announced his death Monday night, saying “it is with very heavy hearts we announce that Logan has passed away”.<\/p>\n

“Our hearts break for all of Logan’s family and friends,” the post reads.<\/p>\n

‘We ask you to respect their privacy during this difficult time. Fly high Logan. ‘<\/p>\n

Friends and acquaintances have left messages about the heartbreaking news. <\/p>\n

My deepest condolences to the family and friends of this lovely young man. Too fast, ‘one said. <\/p>\n

Another said, ‘I’m so sad to hear that. Peace and quiet dear Logan. His family and dear friends send love, especially to those who have never given up looking. ‘<\/p>\n

Mr Losurdo was reported missing on 26 November at around 8.15pm. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District – with the help of SES volunteers, PolAir, Water Police, Marine Rescue, NSW Surf Lifesaving and the Volunteer Rescue Association conducted extensive land and sea searches in the magenta and entry areas.<\/p>\n

Some of Mr. Losurdo’s personal belongings were in the Entr\u00e9e Nord region. <\/p>\n

A video by Mr Losurdo from his school days showed him describing his difficult upbringing and receiving a standing ovation from his colleagues. <\/p>\n

He provided a keynote address to Avid – Advancement Via Individual Determination – Australia Summer Institute in 2018 as a 17 year old senior at Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College. <\/p>\n

Logan was enrolled by a teacher in the AVID program, who was also its operator.<\/p>\n

In the speech, Logan shows photos of himself as a child while recounting that he lived with his mother and brothers until the age of 12.<\/p>\n

“My brothers and I were exposed to everyday things that no young man should do,” he told the audience.<\/p>\n

“These were things like drug abuse, domestic violence, serious criminal activity, police raids, family and community service visits – these were just the norm for our family. <\/p>\n

“Every day was a fight and every day there was a different lie to tell someone what really happened.”<\/p>\n

Dressed in his school blazer and tie, Logan said his modes of operation to survive while the big adult “fights and runs”.<\/p>\n

‘Everyone has always fought with someone at home, often these fights would be violent. They can happen at any time. The screams, the arguments were the soundtrack of my childhood. ‘<\/p>\n

He recalled the moment when he was taken as a child to Sydney from his mother’s central coast for a “special” day out. <\/p>\n

During a trip to the time zone, she told him she was not his mother. <\/p>\n

Logan said he came to learn the woman he knew as his aunt was truly his biological mother.<\/p>\n

“I felt like my whole life was a complete lie, my identity, my everything, had just been ripped out of me,” he said.<\/p>\n

He then described how a teacher became the operator for him and his brothers, and diverted him to education as a way out of his problem in emergency care. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dedicated to the Facebook page dedicated to finding Mr Losurdo, amid hundreds of condolence messages on Monday night, some mentioned seeing his speech by Avid.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I watched his video a while back and was impressed with the performance of this young man despite a very difficult life. <\/span><\/p>\n

My heartfelt condolences to his family. I can not imagine how they feel. RIP Logan, “one wrote. <\/span><\/p>\n
