The governments of India and Australia are joining hands to set up a task force to develop qualification recognition arrangements between the two countries that will help improve two-way mobility.<\/p>\n
This collaboration was announced on 21 March 2022 by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Australian counterpart Scott Morrison. This task force will enable and promote the recognition of online and mixed learning, shared degrees and offshore campuses.<\/p>\n
Acting Minister for Education and Youth Stuart Robert said the task force would consult with stakeholders to identify opportunities for the recognition of Australian and Indian higher education qualifications, and make recommendations for improving arrangements based on best principles and practices and of unrecognition.<\/p>\n
Both countries hope that this task force will pave the way for new opportunities for graduates from both India and Australia to use their qualifications. “This collaboration will serve both countries by expanding collaboration in education, and optimizing mobility outcomes for Australian and Indian students and graduates, and our educational institutes,” said Stuart Robert.<\/p>\n
“Better qualification recognition arrangements will also underline trade and professional services between Australia and India,” he added.<\/p>\n
This co-operation also helps in the implementation of the Australian Strategy for International Education 2021-2030, which aims to strengthen bilateral education co-operation on the recognition of Australian qualifications to support the sustainable growth of Australia’s high quality offshore education services.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
