Mike Tyson<\/strong> wants Jermall Charlo to see David Benavidez<\/strong> instead of waiting on Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Charlo, the twin brother of Jermell Charlo<\/strong>has been hunting for a long time a boxen<\/strong> Match mat Canelo Alvarez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But the Mexican is currently booked for face-to-face Dmitry Bivol<\/strong> on May 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. <\/p>\n

Charlo, meanwhile, will face Maciej Sulecki a month later on June 18 at a venue to announce.<\/p>\n

The American made an appearance on Tyson’s hotboxin ‘podcast to promote his next fight.<\/p>\n

He will make the sixth defense of the WBC middleweight title he won against Hugo Centeno Jr in New York in April 2018. <\/p>\n

Charlo was recently linked to a Jaime Munguia fight as the couple weighed both their next moves, but a deal could not be reached. <\/p>\n

But Tyson thinks Charlo should fight Benavidez instead while he waits for a shot at Canelo. <\/p>\n

Charlo said: “I have no friends in boxing, it’s just me and my brother. <\/p>\n

“I know nothing about that friend stuff.”<\/p>\n

Tyson added, “Then you should call everyone.”<\/p>\n

Charlo interrupted: “That’s what we do. We are Charlo’s twins. We are known for calling everyone out. <\/p>\n

“We’ve been calling out Canelo for five or six years now.”<\/p>\n

Tyson replied, “Then the next best guy fights, the Mexican monster.” <\/p>\n

Charlo replied, “Who?”<\/p>\n

Tyson continues: “Benavidez.”<\/p>\n

Charlo replied, “He’s not a Mexican monster.”<\/p>\n

Tyson: Because everyone is afraid of him, nobody fights with him.<\/p>\n

Charlo insisted, “No one is afraid of him. We are boxing, we are not afraid of anyone on earth.”<\/p>\n

Tyson confirmed, “Please call these guys out. Listen, the whole world is watching you. Call these people out.”<\/p>\n

Charlo, however, refused to give any names despite Tyson’s attempts to reach him for a call.<\/p>\n

Cinnamon Promoter Eddie Hearn<\/strong> meanwhile also agrees with Iron Mike, as he wants to see Charlo and Benavidez fight each other first before sharing the ring with the Mexican.<\/p>\n

Speaking of FightHype.com, he said: “People say, oh Canelo, oh he pushed Charlo, he pushed Benavidez – absolutely bull *** t. Canelo will not duck.<\/p>\n\n

“Canelo at least wants to feel like he’s either getting something by fighting you or winning a belt or you deserve the fight.<\/p>\n

“He’s looking at Benavidez and he’s looking at Charlo and he does not want to say it in public because he feels like he’s making excuses, but he’s like, ‘Those guys are not fighting with anyone,’ the same thing with Demetrius.<\/p>\n

“It’s not her fault – well it’s probably Charlo’s fault – but it’s not Benavidez’s fault and it’s not Andrade’s fault.<\/p>\n

“I believe David Benavidez wants to be in big fights, but they do not deliver it for him. I know Demetrius wants to be in big fights. Not sure about Charlo because he refused a lot of big fights.<\/p>\n

“That’s the plan to put them together, but I think Benavidez will be a massive star and on the road Canelo vs Benavidez is a massive fight.<\/p>\n

“If he can get some decent wins on his resume, then it will be a massive fight.”<\/p>\n
