Lyft and Uber suspended price hike around Brooklyn, New York, where at least 10 people were shot in a subway train<\/span> after social media users posted screenshots showing the rising cost of booking travel to shared travel services.<\/p>\n

The two transport companies said that after the shooting they deactivated the algorithms that increase fares when drivers are scarce. <\/p>\n
