It is the union&#8217;s fourth day of action this week after strikes on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >This, together with the Aslef train drivers&#8217; union strike on Thursday, means that rail services have now been suspended for five days in a row.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Saturday&#8217;s action means some areas will once again have no trains at all.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Services that are operational will normally operate between 07:30 and 18:30 GMT on the days of the strike.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >If you have to travel by train:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<div >\n<ul >\n<li>Check your train company&#8217;s website for information before you start your journey<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared for no services <b >early in the morning or late in the evening<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Plan extra time for your trip <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p ><b >Sunday <\/b>is the only non-strike day on the railroads this week, but disruption to operations may still occur.  Because wagons, locomotives and personnel may not be in the right place at the beginning of the day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >A normalization of rail traffic can only be expected again <b >Monday <\/b>January 9th.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >As things stand, no major rail strikes are planned, although both the RMT and Aslef unions have warned that further action could be taken.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Unions are expected to meet with rail companies and the rail minister on Monday to try to find a way forward.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Driving examiners&#8217; strikes at test centers in London, south-east England, south-west England and Wales continue.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >The action by members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) union means some practical tests are not taking place, although theoretical tests should be taking place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >If your driving test takes place on Saturday, you can check here whether your test center is affected. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >However, not all auditors are members of the PCS union, so your audit may go ahead as scheduled.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Unless you are told that your test will definitely be cancelled, you should still come.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >The driving examiners&#8217; strike is expected to last until Tuesday 10 January.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >If your exam is canceled due to the strike, the DVSA will automatically rebook your exam for you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Strikes by some National Highway workers in the East Midlands and East of England continue <b >Saturday. <\/b>The union PCS says about 16 workers in the two regions are resigning.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >Control center employees and traffic police officers who deal with the consequences of the accident are involved in the action.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >National Highways says there are &#8220;well-rehearsed resilience plans&#8221; in place to cover the strikes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p >However, it warns that the strike action on the railways means that the roads could be busier than usual.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<div >\n<ul >\n<li>Check out our full rundown of all the strikes in January<\/li>\n<li>What are unions and who can go on strike?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p ><i >consequences <\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zoeconway1\" >Zo\u00eb Conway on Twitter<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div >\n<p ><b >How are you affected by the strikes?
