The CBI is facing a second rape allegation from a woman who claims she was seriously sexually assaulted by two male colleagues.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Guardian reported that the attack took place when the woman was working in one of the CBI’s foreign offices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

On Thursday, the CBI said it was “aware of additional information related to a report of a serious crime.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The offense to which it relates is presumed to be an allegation of rape.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The CBI said it “immediately released this information to the police.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

City of London Police are already investigating an alleged rape at a CBI summer party in 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The BBC have contacted the City of London Police in connection with the second alleged rape.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Guardian also reported that a woman at the CBI’s London office had been stalked by a male colleague in 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

She complained to the CBI and a finding of harassment was upheld. However, the newspaper reports that the man continued to work at the organization and eventually left for other reasons. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Dame Carolyn Fairbairn served as Director General of the CBI between 2015 and 2020. The BBC has reached out to her for comment.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Earlier this month, allegations of misconduct and sexual assault surfaced at the CBI. The group has suspended three employees pending the outcome of an investigation by law firm Fox Williams.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Separately, the CBI fired Director General Tony Danker last week after allegations of workplace misconduct were leveled at him.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Mr. Danker took over from Dame Carolyn at the end of 2020.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n
