LONDON – Darren Till happened to be sitting on stage Friday at the O2 Arena asking questions from fans as he was asked who he wanted to fight next and did not have time to share a name.
“Uriah Hall,” he said.
Then came a song.
“After 1-2-3, can we just say” F * ck Uriah Hall? Can we do that, yes? “Till asked.” 1-2-3 … “
“F * ck Uriah Hall!” the public responds in unison.
What was that all about? Well, if you’re paying attention, you know that Hall (17-10 MMA, 10-8 UFC) recently accused Till of kidnapping him after it was rumored that the two men would face each other in a middleweight fight on Saturday in the UFC. confront Fight Night 204. Instead, Hall is scheduled to meet Andre Muniz on April 16, but he said he would rather fight Till.
“I wanted Darren Till, but he’s just a punk-ass b * tch, and I do not know what happened,” Hall said last month. “He’s just playing the UFC or not. But he’s the guy I wanted to make sense. … I think he’s just scared. I think he’s really scared. Either that, or he’s injured or a shit “He always makes excuses. That’s how I look at him.”
Till (18-4-1 MMA, 6-4-1 UFC), who has lost two fights in a row and four of his last five, has not competed since being strangled by Derek Brunson last September. It was then revealed that Till had torn his ACL 10 weeks before the fight. Till seems to be coming close to a comeback since he recently spent a lot of time training with Khamzat Chimaev.
If a fight with Till is what Hall wants, it’s a fight he can get.
“I never lost a fight,” Till said. “Listen, I’m coming from two losses. The loss before that was to (Robert) Whittaker, probably the second best – if not him and (Champion Israel) Adesanya the best middleweights around. I’ve never dodged a fight. I’m at middleweight. came and fought the two best middleweights at the time, (Kelvin) Gastelum and Whittaker.
“So, if he wants to fight me and we’re on the same schedule, I want to fight him next. That’s how it is, right?
Hall will look to recover from a loss to Sean Strickland when he faces Muniz on UFC Fight Night 205.
