Leeds United have produced a sensational comeback away from Wolverhampton Wanderers to claim three key points in the Premier League, under the spotlight at Molineux.

Two goals in the half, the Whites came back in the second half and scored three goals to claim the victory, driven by Jack Harrison, Rodrigo and Luke Ayling winners in stoppage time.

When the match started, both teams exchanged dangerous moments in the first 10 minutes of the match. Adam Forshaw brilliantly retreated and gave Daniel Podence a great challenge to deny the striker a clear goal chance at close range.

From the next attack after the good work of Forshaw, Leeds took the field. Jack Harrison won a big header on the halfway line that played into Dan James, causing the band to sprint forward and cross into the box, where Rodrigo barely volleyed to the near post.

With 10 minutes played, Podence had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. Patrick Bamford did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans.

Both teams would be forced due to an injury and an early change. Bamford left for United with Sam Greenwood, while Ruben Neves had to leave the pitch and was replaced by Francisco Trincao.

Shortly after the substitutions, the visitors took the lead. A quick break on the wing found the newly introduced Trincao in space and he pulled the ball back to shoot Jonny into the bottom corner of the goal.

The game got off to a rather halt after the Wolves took the lead. Many stopping errors were seen in some areas of the field and the early pace had calmed down.

For the home team, the substitute made a big impact on the match and almost doubled the advantage as he came forward next. Just eight minutes into extra time after the stop was announced, Trincao struck a 25-yard left-footed shot, which was withdrawn from the post, hitting Meslier at full range.

Deep in the extra time, there would still be an injury-forced exchange for the whites. Mateusz Klich was the unlucky victim and couldn’t continue the game, so FC’s Charlie Cresswell had to come off the bench.

And what a long first 45 minutes were, the wolves would get a second before interval, in the 11th It would be the impressive Trincao again, placing his left foot off the edge of the box.

HALF TIME: Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 Leeds United

The second half started and had another big talking point within five minutes after the restart. After the same attack became valid in the first half, Raul Jimenez received a second yellow card and was sent off for a further late challenge, this time to Meslier.

After the incident, the Leeds United goalkeeper was injured and that means a fourth injury forced change for the Whites, with Kristoffer Klaesson making his Premier League debut between the posts.

After the hour, Luke Ayling played brilliantly into the box on the wing, and he controlled well before hitting the post. The rebound came back on him, but was blocked again before Harrison was alert enough to shoot home on the third attempt!

Minutes later, the match was quickly leveled, once again by pure persistence and hard work. After James’ initial effort came out of the bar, Greenwood won the ball back into the box and created a chance for Rodrigo, who shot the striker after jumping around the keeper and hitting low for it two pieces to do.

With five minutes left before an extra time is shown, there is a good chance of completing the turning point. Harrison was played on the wing and pulled the ball over the box, where James turned the goal, just to see his shot from behind for a corner.

Jose Sa was called into action to make a good stop just seconds later after Harrison this time cut off from the right and decided to shoot, forcing the keeper to just tip over.

In the final seconds of the game, Leeds should not miss an unforgettable and sensational comeback to take all three points.

Harrison played a ball deep into the penalty area and from there, Ayling looked to tip the ball. Pascal Struijk was the closest and looked to control, but Ayling was alert enough to control himself again and hit through the legs of Sa in the wolf net!

The winner of the last leg caused absolute delirium on the pitch and in the stands, securing three more big points for Jesse Marsch and his Leeds United team before heading into the international break.
