The giant meteorite that is estimated to be moving fairly close to Earth soon was called the ‘Monster Planet Killer’. This huge meteorite, named 2013 BO76, has the power to destroy the entire Earth when it touches a part of the planet.
Based on scientists, the giant meteorite is likely to pass after Earth’s orbit on March 24. While scientists’ forecasts this time do not announce any possible damage to Earth, they will pay attention. This is because the Earth’s gravity can lead to a collision.
The meteorite was first seen almost nine years ago, on January 17, 2013. At that time, NASA issued warnings for the 2013 BO76, which was photographed on March 7, 2013. It is said to be located almost 15 million kilometers from Earth.
The meteorite, which is expected to reach Earth on March 24, is about 500 to 600 feet.
According to NASA scientists, the meteorite will be closest to Earth on March 24, so it is only three miles away from our home planet. When considering potential destruction, NASA scientists monitor the meteorite consistently.
