What a qualifying course that was! It was Glenn Coldenhoff who took the holeshot in front of Tim Gajser and just when it looked like Gajser was going to hit, he picked up a bike problem – it looked like a break problem.
It opened the door with Jeremy Seewer and Pauls Jonass capturing Coldenhoff – it was Jonass on the way as he both passed to take the victory. It is a big big win for the Latvian who had poor problems, so this will be a big confidence booster.
Jorge Prado came home on third, just ahead of MX2 world champion, Maxime Renuax and Thomas Kjer Olsen with Coldenhoff returning to sixth.
Despite his problems, Gajser did enough for the seventh, which is still a solid pairing for the main course tomorrow.
