Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury was particularly lacking from recent Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, but the actor hinted that we would soon see a lot more of him.

During a recent appearance on the Happy, sad, confused Podcast, as CBR reported, Jackson confirmed that he has already filmed scenes for various Marvel projects. It was announced a bit back that Jackson would be returning to his role as Nick Fury in the upcoming Disney + series Secret Invasionbut he suggested that there was much more going on from the former director of SHIELD.

“When I was in London right now, it was [Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania]an an [The Marvels] had happened, and we were ready to go [Secret Invasion], “said Jackson.” So it was like three Marvel movies on one lot. I kind of ran around from place to place. “The character was last seen in the post-credits sequences for Spider-Man: Far from home, take a long-deserved vacation aboard a scrolling spaceship. With Phase 4 now in full swing, it seems we’re getting an abundance of fan-favorite character.

In fact, the 73-year-old actor has suggested that he will also appear in some unannounced Marvel projects. “Well, you know, it’s kind of weird when someone tells you they’ll give you a nine picture deal,” he said. “You know, you go ‘How long will I stay alive to take nine pictures?’ Because it used to take some time to make a movie. It still does kind of happen, but people do two or three of them at once. In the Marvel universe … it’s crazy.

Elsewhere in the podcast, as the playlist notes, Jackson was asked if he would ever take a role in a movie based on DC real estate. “Well, actors are mercenaries,” he replied. “It’s pretty much what we do, we act for who we are.” While adding, “Sure why not,” he later suggested, “Maybe not.” Jackson said he’s a big comic book fan, but said he does not know “what’s the point [DC] cinematic. “

Secret Invasion is set to premiere later this year, meanwhile The Marvels will land in theaters on February 17, 2023, and third Ant-Man on July 28, 2023. Listen to the entire podcast here.
