Thor Bjornsson and Eddie Hall have been arguing for years over the title of World’s Strongest Man, but there’s no question who’s the better boxer.
Charged as “the toughest boxing match in history”, Bjornsson and Hall closed out a six-round amateur match on Saturday in Abu Dhabi, and as the dust settled, it was Bjornsson who won the ring with a unanimous decision to win. left (57- 54, 57-54, 57-54). He was also awarded a special “Titan Championship”.

It was the fourth amateur boxing appearance for Bjornsson, known worldwide for his role as “The Mountain” in Game of Thrones. He remained unbeaten at 2-0-2.
Then Bjornsson – a winner of multiple Strongman competitions who lost in the 2017 World’s Strongest Man Final in Hall – was asked if her long-standing beef had been released.
“In my name, understandably he still seems a little angry,” Bjornsson said. “He lost the fight, so there are a lot of feelings now. I was there. But now I’m happy. If he wants a rematch in the ring, no problem.
Bjornsson, 33, could not say what was next for him, but he sounded excited about the prospect of continuing to fight and train.
Through six rounds of three minutes, Bjornsson shot three total knockdowns, including one in the 3rd round from a hard left hook, and one in the final round from a 1-1-2 combination. Hall was also credited with a knockdown in round 2 as he landed a power shot that sent Bjornsson back into the ropes, which he hung on to before recovering.
As the fight progressed, Bjornsson made good use of his height and gained the advantage of keeping the hall apart with his jab. To the surprise of the commentators, the match was mostly technical, and while Hall showed signs of mediocrity, Bjornsson mostly composed until the last bell rang.
This was Bjornsson’s return to the ring after a showdown last September as he battled Devon Larratt, who was a replacement for Hall.
