Police have closed one of the main roads to Carlisle following a crash outside Morton School.
Emergency services are currently at the scene of the accident on Wigton Road, Carlisle. The Great North Air Ambulance was also on site.

Wigton Road has since been closed, and this is said to cause significant delays. Anyone traveling in the area can expect delays and should allow extra travel time.
A Cumbria Police spokesman confirmed: “Emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision on Wigton Road, Carlisle. Motorists are expected to experience delays as a result of the collision, reported just after 3pm. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area . If possible.”
A spokeswoman for GNAAS confirmed that they had been called to the scene but had no airlift.
She said: “Our critical support team was activated at 3.13pm for reports of a road traffic collision in Carlisle. They arrived on the scene at 3.24pm. Our team was involved in the incident but they returned to base half an hour later and did not do air lifts. anyone. “
