Emmerdale Spoiler: Marlon asks Rhona not to leave him after a stroke

Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) suffered a life-changing blow in Emmerdale, moments after he became engaged to Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry).

ITV soap’s signature chef had planned to propose to Rhona after Mary (Louise Jameson) accidentally put the idea in his head last week.

He bought an engagement ring for the occasion, and even tried to write a speech, but when the big day came, he was filled with doubts, convinced that Rhona would refuse him.

Little did he know, however, that Rhona had planned to ask him to marry her!

Marlon’s doubts were dispelled by Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy), which offered him a few words of comfort, and so he was back in time for his not-so-surprising birthday party back at The Woolpack.

Realizing the efforts Rhona had made to make him feel special, Marlon did not disappear for a second as he got down on one knee to propose.

Rhona, however, ordered him to get up immediately before asking him to read what was written on the birthday cake she had bought him.

‘Do you want to marry me?’ He said loudly, astonished. In emotional scenes, the duo got engaged.

Rhona pulled back an engagement ring for her beau, reminding Marlon that he had left his back home, and so he went back to his house to find him.

But while he was there, he suffered a devastating blow.

April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) meanwhile noticed that Marlon was particularly long in his search for the ring, and so she went home to check on his father.

She found him immobile and unable to speak on the floor, and spent little time calling for an ambulance. Rhona discovered what had happened, and ran to the hospital, where it was confirmed that Marlon had suffered a stroke and needed surgery.

She asked for a moment with her fiancé, took his hand, told him how much she loved him.

Marlon, however, refused to let go of her hand. Spectators heard his thoughts as he asked Rhona to stay. But he could not speak.

‘Please do not go!’ We heard. ‘Please do not leave me. I’m still here ‘.

Rhona, however, was gone. Is Marlon okay?
