HONOR X Series (2022) To launch on March 29 in Malaysia: Available in three models

HONOR Malaysia has recently announced that it will launch new products on March 29th. Since then, the company has released a number of bread crabs that offer clues about the products they plan to discover later this month.

One of them is a rather long message on his HONOR Malaysia Facebook page, which came from its country director, Lijing, who revealed that the new phone series called the X Series will come in three models. He also noted that all three phones went through rigorous tests, including 1 meter drop, beer resistance and high temperature, although he stopped by to discover their current name.

That being said, HONOR Malaysia has also posted videos on its Facebook page featuring X9 and X8. Additionally, if you search for the phone number on Google, you’ll probably get the ads below that list X9 5G, X8, and X7 as part of the search results:

As recorded on Google at 23:45 tonight.

Not only that, a recent post in the news section of the HONOR Club also highlighted this poster, which was shown at a recent HONOR event in the Middle East:

Overall, the X9 is the international variant of the X30 that HONOR launched in China at the end of 2021. Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 in addition to up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the phone has a 6.81-inch Full HD + IPS display that has 120Hz refresh rate.

Housed in a round-shaped camera module that looks identical to the company’s new Magic4 flagship series, is a 48MP f / 1.8 main camera in addition to a 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth sensor. The phone also has a 16MP f / 2.45 front camera and a 4800mAh battery along with the support for 66W fast charger.

On the other hand, the X8, which was actually launched in the UAE, has the same physical design as the X30i that was launched in China last October. In fact, the model still has a 6.7-inch Full HD + 90Hz IPS display, 4000mAh battery, and 22.5W fast charger support.

However, the X8 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 instead of MediaTek Dimensity 810 which also means that the international model does not support 5G network unlike its Chinese counterpart. In addition, the export-bound X8 also has higher resolution 64MP main camera, 5MP ultra-wide camera, and 16MP selfie camera although it still has the same macro camera and depth sensor.

As for the X7, it is based on another model released in China called Play 30 Plus. On top of that, the phone is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 in addition to up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

It is also equipped with a 6.74 inch HD + TFT display, 5MP f / 2.2 selfie camera, 13MP f / 1.8 main camera, and 2MP f / 2.4 depth sensor. As per many budget phones out there, this particular model also has a massive 5000mAh battery, though it does support 22.5W fast charger, which should help reduce the charging time of the phone.

Since the X9 and X8 are powered by Snapdragon, we would not be surprised if HONOR switches the X7 processor to Qualcomm for release in Malaysia as well. Of course, we have to wait for the official information from HONOR, so stay tuned for more on March 29th.
