As queen in the crown and queen Anne in the favorite, she was accustomed to palatial houses.
And it seems that the roles gave Olivia Colman a taste for the royal lifestyle – she bought a Class II barn just a short drive from Her (real) Majesty Sandringham’s estate.
The 48-year-old actress bought the five-bedroom property for more than £ 1 million after selling her semi-detached single-family home in Peckham, south-east London for £ 2.3 million.

Miss Colman, who played the queen for two series of the Netflix royal drama The Crown, grew up in Norfolk and attended Gresham’s School in Holt.
Their new property has a Grade II listing with parts of the 17th-century L-shaped building.
The Oscar winner has already started making changes to her new family home. Her husband, writer and producer Ed Sinclair, has submitted a planning application for an outdoor heated pool with walk-in steps and LED lighting.
He had previously submitted a request for an extension of an existing outbuilding, which ‘serves as a summer house and as a playroom for children’, but was ‘too small for the current family’.
Miss Colman and Mr. Sinclair married in 2001 and had two sons, Finn, 17, and Hall, 15, and a daughter, whose name they did not make public, born in 2015.

Applications for replacing five windows and destroying a wooden cold store and rebuilding them to allow a new door and steps out of the house were rejected on the ground that it resulted in ‘loss of original fabric from the 17th intrinsic and irreplaceable value’.
A conservation statement added that there was not “a strong enough justification for this work to harm the identified heritage”.
Miss Colman made a substantial profit equivalent to £ 140,000 a year on her five-bedroom Peckham home since she bought it for £ 875,000 in 2011.
Speaking about the camp to the country, she told the Guardian: ‘I like to be able to be outside and nobody can see me. I’m wearing a woolen hat. ‘
