And the money-saving expert has stated that he will be back on Tuesday morning before going out for the rest of the week.
He explained after hosting the show today: “Thank you for having me @GMB and thank you for looking after me @ susannareid100.
“Hope it was OK folks. I’ll be back tomorrow. Then this is my stint done. Now home for an hour Kip before my MSE work starts.”
One fan told him, “Breathe fresh air. Best wishes with what you have next. I’m sure we’ll all love it again (not to say you’re taking advantage of it).”
Good Morning Britain revealed on Sunday that there will be a change of guard this week – with Richard replaced.
ITV’s morning show has been hosted by Richard and show favorite Susanna Reid from Monday to Wednesday since before Christmas.
He took over the job as main presenter alongside Susanna after the departure of Piers Morgan, who is about to launch a new show on TalkTV.
She wrote on Twitter on Sunday evening: “Tomorrow I’m very happy to say that @MartinSLewis will host @GMB with me.”
Her followers seemed satisfied with the last minute reshuffle, and one replied, “Absolutely excellent, I look forward to seeing you both, tomorrow morning dear Susanna”
Another commented: “Dear! Worth to look at bright & early. Wish he could be up more often” as a third remarked: “Wonderful, he’s the best co-presenter since the PM.”
Martin used his hosting gig at the current GMB to ask questions about the energy crisis to Health Secretary Sajid Javid.
He said: “Take off my presenter’s hat for a second and put on the hat of my campaigns – people on oxygen, people on dialysis machines, people in electric wheelchairs are in panic and shock that their lives are being cut off because of this energy climb.”
