Tyler Reddick started a multi-car wreck in stage 2 on Sunday at the Atlanta Motor Speedway as No. 8 Richard Childress racing Chevrolet in turn 4 on the side after a tire went off.
Kurt Busch, in number 45 23XI Racing Toyota, and Joey Logano, in number 22 Team Penske Ford, ran on Reddick’s number 8, and then some other cars were sent to turn and slip. Thirteen cars were involved in the wreck, which came on lap 144 of a planned 325 on the restored 1.54-mile stretch.

Daytona 500 winner Austin Cindric was among those gathered in the wreck, along with Kyle Larson, Corey LaJoie, Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, Harrison Burton, Michael McDowell, Todd Gilliland, Cole Custer, Alex Bowman, Busch and Logano.
Initially, none of the cars involved in the wreckage were driven into the garage. After the damage was further assessed, Custer limped his Stewart-Haas Racing No. 41 Ford back to the garage and was out for the day.
“The track here is so narrow that they’ve come together and everyone is stumbling without going anywhere, so we hit the wall,” Custer said. “We didn’t really hit that hard, but it broke some of the right back suspension and put us out.”
