Gemfields Group Ltd. said on Tuesday that it expects to report a boost to a net profit after tax for 2021.
The gemstone company said it expects to report a net profit after tax of $ 65 million compared to a loss of $ 93.2 million by 2020.
The company said it also forecast earnings per share of 4.0 cents after a loss of 7.0 cents per share last year.
“Gemfields two key business activities, Montepuez Ruby Mining Limitada and Kagem Mining Ltd., saw record-breaking auction results during 2021, generating revenue of $ 147.4 million and $ 91.8 million per year, respectively,” it said.
