The Barry’s complex in Portrush has been saved from closure and will reopen on Easter.
The Curry family, who run Curry’s Fun Park in Salthill, Co Galway, have taken a long-term lease of the property.
The iconic North Coast Place has been operated by the Trufelli family since opening in 1926, but it is closed after they sold it last year.
It was feared that the site would be demolished and converted into an apartment.
“We are pleased to have secured such a prominent trading post, which is very important for Portrush and the wide North Coast area,” said Owen Curry.
“As a family that is synonymous with the leisure industry, we can appreciate what the Trufelli family has brought to Portrush over the decades.
“We look forward to building on this great foundation – Portrush is an iconic destination in Northern Ireland for residents and visitors alike. We are thrilled by the prospect of running this legendary amusement park and we look forward to seeing you there.”
