Jérémy Lauzon was acquired by the Predators of Nashville in a transaction with the Kraken of Seattle, Sunday.
In return, the Predators concede a choice of second round at the 2022 relay at the Kraken.
Lauzon, a 24-year-old defender, scored a goal and five passes in 53 games with the Kraken this season, after being announced by the Bruins de Boston as part of the LNH 2021 expansion prep.

In 129 career matches with the Bruins and the Kraken, the choice of Boston’s second round (52nd overall) in 2022 amassed 17 points (four goals, 13 passes). He was also white in 13 games in the Stanley Cup Elimination Series.
The Val-d’Or native can become an autonomous player with compensation in terms of the campaign.
Appleton for return to Winnipeg
The Kraken also sent Mason Appleton to the Winnipeg Jets in return for a choice of fourth quarter in 2023.
Appleton had been Seattle’s choice for the Jets’ team during the expansion. The 26-year-old therefore made a return to Winnipeg, the team with whom he spent the first three seasons of his career.
Appleton averaged 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) in 49 games this season. It totals 60 points (26 goals, 34 assists) in 187 regular season encounters with the Kraken and the Jets. It was selected by Winnipeg in the sixth round (168th) at the 2015 relay.
Earlier in the day, Kraken sent his captain Mark Giordano and the attacking Colin Blackwell to the Maple Leafs of Toronto in return for a choice of the second round at the 2022 relay, a choice of the second round in 2023 as well as a choice of the third round in 2024.
