Elden Ring’s Online Services are down on PlayStation [Update]

Update: The Elden Ring Twitter Cont has now posted to say that Steam maintenance is complete. PlayStation servers stay offline while writing.

Bandai Namco and From Software have announced that another round of server maintenance for Elden Ring will be held today, but the maintenance on the PlayStation and Steam servers will take longer than first thought.

Earlier this morning, the Elden Ring Twitter account announced that multiplayer server maintenance would begin on March 23 at 1am Pacific / 8am UK, with an expected duration of one hour. However, a follow-up message has announced that PlayStation / Steam server maintenance will be “extended”. No estimate was given as to when the services would resume.

Update: PlayStation / Steam server retention extended We apologize for the inconvenience, you will be informed in this thread when the maintenance is over. Thank you for your patience.

Since 4pm Pacific / 11am UK time, the servers are still down on PlayStation. We will update this story when the service returns.

As you might expect, the game is still playable in offline mode, but features like other player calls, invasions and messages are not available.

The Elden Ring is currently going through what feels like its first major update phase after its release. Just last week patch 1.03 made a substantial amount of changes, including revising Glintstone Wizards (yay!) And nerfing Hairfrost Stomp (boo!). Speedrunners were particularly excited about some of the changes.
