Boris Johnson has promised to “set the record straight” on what he told MPs about lockdown parties at Downing Street.
The Prime Minister has previously denied rules were broken – but he is now among more than 50 people who have been fined by police.
This has led opposition parties to accuse him of misleading Parliament.
Under government rules, ministers are expected to resign if they knowingly mislead MPs.
The ministerial rule book also states that if they accidentally tell MPs something wrong, they should correct the records at the “earliest opportunity”.

MPs are currently on Easter break but are expected to return next week.
Asked if he would correct the records after his fine on Tuesday, Mr Johnson replied: “You’ll have to wait until I get to Parliament.
“Of course I will correct the record in any way I can.”
