Boris Johnson has again insisted he was unaware he was breaking his own Covid laws as he apologized to MPs for his lockdown fine.
The Prime Minister has been fined for attending a 2020 birthday celebration in No10, leading to accusations he misled MPs by previously saying no rules had been broken.
But he told MPs he didn’t know it was against the rules – and denied intentionally misleading them.
Labor called the apology a “joke”.
In response in the House of Commons, Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer accused Mr Johnson of offering “insulting” and “absurd” excuses for his Covid fine.

The party won a vote on Thursday on whether to have a Commons committee investigate whether the Prime Minister misled Parliament.
