Schneider Electric USA is removing 1.4 million switch boxes sold to home improvement stores and hardware stores across the country because they could overheat and lead to heat and fire hazards.
The recall involves Square D QO plug-in neutral charging stations installed in homes, RVs and commercial establishments, including restaurants, manufacturing plants and warehouses, the company said in a notice released Thursday by the U.S. Consumer Safety Commission. .
