British Airways is canceling around 32 daily flights to and from Heathrow Airport at the start of the Easter holidays.
The move follows a planned 10-day strike by some Heathrow security workers in the Unite union over a pay dispute.
BA said it offered affected customers a range of options.
Heathrow says contingency plans are being put in place to ensure it can “function as normal”.
Workers at Terminal 5, used by British Airways, and those inspecting cargo will take part in the campaign.
The strike is scheduled to begin on March 31st and end on April 9th. Talks in the past week could not avert the action.
BA has been ordered by the airport to reduce its flight schedule by 5% on those days and has stopped selling tickets.

In a statement, the airline said: “We have unfortunately had to make a small number of adjustments to our flight schedule.
“We have apologized to customers whose travel plans were affected and offered them a range of options including rebooking on a new flight with us or another airline, or requesting a full refund.”
A Heathrow spokesman said: “We will not allow these unnecessary strikes to affect our passengers’ hard-earned holidays.”
The airport said it, along with its management team, will deploy 1,000 additional staff who will be in the terminals to support passengers during the Easter holidays.
It might “take a little longer than usual to get through security,” and advised passengers to help ensure a smooth departure by checking their flight status before traveling to the airport and having their liquids and electronic devices ready for security .
Strikes elsewhere have already seen a number of airlines cancel flights this year, particularly in France and Spain.
Monday’s strike in Germany also led to cancellations.
