Disney has filed a lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, sharply escalating the battle between the entertainment giant and the Republican leader.
In the filing, the company’s theme park division alleges that it was the target of “government retaliation” after opposing a law backed by the governor.
It comes as a board appointed by Mr. DeSantis prepared to cancel a development agreement on the company’s Florida amusement park.
