Elon Musk says he’s found a new CEO to run Twitter.
He announced the plans on the social media platform, which he bought for $44 billion last year.
Mr Musk did not name the site’s new boss, but said “she” would start in six weeks and then become CEO and chief technology officer.
Mr Musk was under pressure to name someone else to run the company and focus on his other businesses.
The billionaire, who also runs electric car maker Tesla and rocket company SpaceX, previously said he intends to put someone else at the helm of Twitter.
Last year, following a poll of users on the platform about whether he should resign, he joked: “No one wants the job that can actually keep Twitter alive.”
He told the BBC last month that his dog ran the company.
Tesla shares have skyrocketed on the latest news.
