The Griffins are just one spot ahead of Rockford, with a 26-24-5-2 record and .518 winning percentage played through 57 games.
Unexpected Trouble
With just two games left against Grand Rapids this season, Rockford has continued to compete in competitions with the Griffins. With just three games remaining between the two teams this year, the Griffins have already won the season series.
Who is the leader?
The IceHogs have a few players leading the entire league in different categories at the moment. Forward Josiah Slavin is tied for first place among the Rookies and tied for fourth overall in the AHL with three short-handed goals. Defender Ian Mitchell is tied for first in the AHL with three shorthanded assists, while striker Michal Teply is ranked first among the rookies and second overall in the AHL with three shootout goals.
