An army man attacked a hailstorm at a mosque near Toronto. No injuries were reported.
An army man with a hatchet and an anti-ours spray was taken on Saturday to the fidelity of a mosque in the suburbs of Toronto, without injury, a “ferment” aggression condemned by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. The 24-year-old man, who was intercepted, entered the Mississauga City Mosque (Ontario, Canada) and sprayed fidelity with his spray before being mistressed, the local police indicated in a Press release.
The members of the mosque were severely injured by the anti-ours spray, the authorities explained. He was acting in an “isolated act”, the police estimated, indicating that he might be acting in an “Islamophobic act”.
On Twitter, Justin Trudeau evoked an “extremely disturbing” aggression. “I strongly condemn this violence that is not taking place in Canada, and my thoughts are on the community,” he declared, saluting “the courage of those” who were present.
“Our community will not be intimidated”
Many political personalities, from the Mayor of Toronto to the Prime Minister of the province, also condemned this aggression in a place of worship. The imam of the mosque saluted in a reaction on social networks the reactivity of his fidelity. “Before he can inflict damages on fidelity, several fidelities have courageously succeeded in arresting him in his zeal,” wrote Ibrahim Hindy.
“Our community will not be intimidated,” he added.
In Ontario, in June last, a Muslim family was deliberately beaten by the driver of a pick-up, an act that shocked Canada and was qualified as a “terrorist” by Justin Trudeau.
