The reasons surrounding the brutal fall of the plane that took place in the south of China on Monday are “a mystery” for the line pilot and board member Dominic Daoust.

“It’s not something that we see in the world of aviation, an airplane that has its quasi-perpendicular cruise altitude to help hit the sun,” he explained in an interview with LCN.
Well it is difficult, for the moment, to determine the exact causes of the accident, the pilot tries to draw parallels with other similar events to try to understand better.
But “still, there are not many examples of accidents like this,” Mr Daoust said.
One of the examples that has just come to mind is a problem under surge pressure in a Boeing 737 in 2005.
“There are some parallels that can be drawn. It is the pressure that was lost during the cruise on the 737 of Helios, in Greece, in the mountains to the north of Greece, and the crew. was tombé inconscient », reports t-il.
This case could be, according to him, to provide answers to the mystery that constitutes the crash of China Eastern Airlines’ plane.
“It might be possible to explain this genre of incident in China where the crew was inconsistent and the aircraft continued on the autopilot until there was a lack of fuel or the autopilot of the aircraft disconnect », the pilot advances.
An “extremely violent descent”
One of the only information on which the pilot can base his analysis of the event is the fact that the aircraft made “an extremely violent descent”.
“A normal descent rate on a 737 or on an airplane is around 2000 feet a minute. Là, aujourd’hui, we are talking about 30 000 or 31 000 feet a minute, so it’s a vertical descent », he notes.
The plane crashes can still bring some lights, according to the line pilot.
“One of the big nightmares of the investigation, it’s to be determined whether it’s really debris concentrated on the crater, the main impact point, or whether they find aircraft pieces at a distance of several kilometers “It could indicate a problem with the structure or a problem with the mechanics that would have happened on the cruise,” said Mr. Daoust.
