Sam Claflin and Laura Haddock at ‘The Hunger Games movie premiere
Sam Claflin’s life is very different from his Peaky Blinders character – thankfully.
The 35-year-old actor plays Mustache politician Oswald Mosley, who is the main antagonist in the exciting final series.
When he’s not trying to pick up Tommy Shelby’s gang, Sam spends his time in the UK and in the US and looks much more robust in real life than the faceist MP.
Sam first rose to fame as Finnick Odair in the Hunger Games franchise and also had roles in Love Rosie, Me Before You, The Riot Club, and My Cousin Rachel.
Until 2019, Sam was in a relationship with another actress, Laura Haddock, whom he met during an audition for a movie.
There was a direct spark between the pair when he first met the Inbetweeners film actress in 2011 in the audition room and realized they had the same agent.
When he got home, Sam woke up his friend at 7 o’clock and explained, “I just met the girl I want to marry. I love this girl, I love her. She’s perfect.”

Speaking earlier about Laura, Sam said, “I went into an audition room, I saw her and I knew. I’m not kidding for the life of me. She read for a part and it’s my fourth free Uruff.
“I did three auditions with the other girl before and this girl came in and I came out of the audition, it does not matter if I get the part.
“I called my agent, I said, ‘Mate, I’m in love.’ He’s like, ‘How did the audition go, Mate?’ I was like, ‘No, no, you do not understand. I just met the woman I want to marry.’
After going out to a party that night, he stumbled upon Laura at a tube station at 5am.
Sam once described Laura, who also starred in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie, as his “female colleague” and they married in 2013 after two years together.
Laura gave birth to her and Sam’s first child, a boy named Pip, in 2015 and their daughter, Margot, in 2018.
Talk to Search After Pip’s birth, Sam said, ‘Of course it’s hard, [but] it’s all worth it.
“The rewards are just endless. He’s literally the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Unfortunately, the couple announced that they parted ways in 2019 with an emotional joint statement on Instagram.
It reads: “Laura and I have decided to legally separate.
“We will continue with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another as we continue to raise our family together.
“We will not comment on this further. Thank you in advance for your support and respect for our privacy at this time. Both of us x”

When he discussed his role as the evil Sir Oswald Mosley in Peaky Blinder last year, Sam suggested that the period was quite painful.
Claflin said Radio times: “I enjoy everything that distracts me from my own life at the moment, and gives me a glimpse of how the other half lives.”
Last year, Sam was linked with The Saturdays singer Una Healy, who divorced rugby player Ben Foden in 2018.
The couple were reportedly exchanging messages with each other after printing online and “hoping to meet a date” when their busy schedule allowed.
A source said Sun on Sunday : “Una and Sam have a lot in common. They’ve been sending quite a lot of messages and hoping to meet on a date when they can split their schedule.”
However, nothing seems to have happened between the pair since the initial rumors turned around.
* Peaky Blinders airs on BBC One on Sunday at 9pm
